  SPORTS AND ACTIVITY NEWS: 


  1. There is a JH Baseball game at Fisher tonight starting at 4:15pm.

  1. There is also a JH Softball game at Blue Ridge tonight starting at 4:15pm.

   CLUB AND CLASS NEWS:            


  1.   Juniors interested in taking the optional PSAT/NMSQT need to sign up with Miss  

            Stanton and pay the $17 fee by September 11th.


  1.   A Jostens rep will be at Heyworth HS on Wednesday, September 11th During lunch to 

            take all class ring orders.  Please bring a $60 down payment or check out the packet for 

            “3 payment options”.  Design your ring and print your order form at www.jostens.com

            Please contact Jostens with any questions.

 

            Jostens will also be taking Letter Jacket orders for all students. Please remember to 

            bring any patches you wish to have put on your jacket for no extra charge. The Jostens 

            rep will have sample sizing jackets to find your size on next week.  


  1.   There is a JH Student Council meeting, during lunch today, in Mrs. Dorgan’s room.  

     

  1.   If you are bringing a guest from another school to homecoming the guest request 

sheets are in the office.

  1. There is a Golf match today at Ridgeview/Tri-Point, starting time is at 4:15pm.

 

  1. The HS Volleyball team has a game tonight at Fisher starting at 5:30pm.

 

  1. The JH Softball team has a home game tonight, against Clinton, starting at 4:15pm.

 

   CLUB AND CLASS NEWS:

            FUTURE TEACHER EVENT on October 7th from 8:30-2pm. See Dr. Bruemmer in Room 101 

            for more information and sign-up.  Deadline is Sept.12th

     

  1.   If you are bringing a guest from another school to homecoming the guest request 

sheets are in the office.

  1.   All students wishing to participate in the Mentoring program need to return paperwork to 

            Mrs. Etheridge or the office, by the end of the day, on Tuesday\, of this week.

            All those participating in the mentoring program, should meet in the cafeteria 

            Wednesday morning, after announcements.

 

  1.   Any Juniors interested in helping with the Junior Float, please meet in Mr. Kirkton’s room 

            during Flex today.

  1.   Did you forget to purchase a 2018-2019 yearbook and would like a copy? Well you are 

            in luck!! Mr. Kirkton is having a 1 week flash sale on the 2018-2019 yearbook where you 

            can purchase it for the low price of $30, a savings of $15!  Hurry out as supplies are 

            Limited!

 

  1.   Junior High STUCO - be sure to sign in to the Remind app for updates.



  1.   There is a STUCO Locker Committee meeting during lunch on Wednesday and a Dance 

            Committee meeting during lunch on Thursday.

 

  1.   Congratulations to our 2019 Homecoming Court: Morgan Spencer, Hannah Warren, 

             Savannah Curtis, Kennedy Baldwin, Ryan Hickenbottom, Levi Neuleib, Alex Cilento and

             Chase Ditchen. 

   

  1. Don’t forget homecoming t-shirts orders are due tomorrow .  Turn in the money and order to your class sponsor.

  1.  Students are not allowed to hang out in the hallways, unsupervised, during lunch.  You

             must remain in the cafeteria until the bell rings at 12:40

            Friday, September 13th.

  1. The JH Baseball team has a home game against Blue Ridge tonight at 4:15pm.

 

  1. There is also a HS Volleyball game, at home tonight, against Fieldcrest starting at    5:30pm.

 

  1. The JH Girls advances to the 2nd round of Regionals with a win over Normal Epiphany Wednesday night with a score of 7-4. They play Saturday at 11AM in Leroy.

  1.  Students are not allowed to hang out in the hallways, unsupervised, during lunch.  You

             must remain in the cafeteria until the bell rings at 12:40.  HS Students if you leave for 

             lunch, you are not allowed back into the building until the 12:40 bell rings.

  1. We have our First Home Football Game tonight vs GCMS at 7:00pm. It’s BLACK OUT night at the game tonight, so be sure and wear your black Hornet apparel, to support your Hornets!  

 

  1. The JH Baseball team have a game at Hartsburg Emden today, starting at 4:15pm.

 

  1. The JH Girls advances to the 2nd round of Regionals with a win over Normal Epiphany Wednesday night with a score of 7-4. They play Saturday at 11:00am in Leroy.

 

   CLUB AND CLASS NEWS:

             are eating lunch outside, please do not leave your trays outside on the tables or
