It's Time for the 6th Annual Hornet Walk!!

The Hornet Walk is a fundraiser in which students collect money from family and friends. The Hornet Walk is our primary fundraiser for the year and helps fund H.O.P.E. sponsored events at our school.

H.O.P.E support also includes: physical education equipment, playground equipment, technology, classroom teacher grants, PBIS celebrations, Hornet Pride shirts, and much more!

Register Your Student for the free EKG Screening Program

We have an opportunity for our students to participate in a cardiac screening that will be held at our school on Wednesday, September 12th. The Young Hearts for Life is the organization that will be conducting the EKG screening program. The screening will take place in the gym, similar to how a blood drive is conducted. All students that attend our school can participate. All we need is for a parent or guardian to register the student and complete the permission slip.

Heyworth Pre-Kindergerten Screening

Heyworth Pre-Kindergarten program holds 2 screenings per year. We now also offer a tuition program. Each child is expected to go through our screening before they can be accepted into the program. This assists us in building upon your child’s current skills. Please call the Elementary school, (309) 473-2822 ext. 2146, if you have any questions about our program. We will be happy to help you.

Elementary New Family Registration

The elementary office will be open on June 20th (tomorrow), July 11th and July 25th from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm for new family registration.  This includes students entering Kindergarten that have not gone through the pre-registration process.  Please bring proof of residency such as a copy of a utility bill. All new pre-k and kindergarten students need to bring a copy of their birth certificate. We hope you are having a wonderful summmer!

Heyworth Principal Promoted to Superintendent

Taylor first entered the district in July as the junior/senior high school principal. Before coming to Heyworth, she served 15 years in the Decatur school district as teacher, building level administrator, central office administrator and superintendent.
