$1,500 One Year College Scholarship Available!

$1,500 One Year College Scholarship Available

Carl E Miller, Post #624 American Legion/Ladies Auxiliary and S.A.L. sponsors a one-year College Scholarship in the amount of $1,500. The scholarship is open to any Heyworth High School senior or Post/Unit/Squadron members’ family senior. Award is based on 500-550 word essay. This year’s subject is the “Importance of Women in WWII”. Winner will be asked and MUST read their essay at annual Memorial Day Service in May.



Applications are due by March 31, 2026.

Our Mission

The District’s Mission is to prepare all students for success, and we are committed to making sure all students are challenged and supported in their learning experiences. Over the past 15 years, the Heyworth School District has gone through many changes. Our new Senior High School addition was finished in 2006, accompanied by our new Hornet Stadium and all weather track. In 2019 our new district office, weight room and community fitness center, along with Hornet Gymnasium were added onto our existing Junior/Senior High School.
