Community and Environment

Heyworth is a predominantly rural community with agriculture as its primary economic driver, offering a small-town atmosphere and close-knit environment. Its proximity to Bloomington–Normal allows for convenient commutes to major employers while maintaining a rural lifestyle. Families often cite the quality of Heyworth schools as a key reason for moving to the area. The strong partnership among students, staff, families, and the community continues to strengthen and enrich the District. We are proud of the shared commitment that makes Heyworth School District a place where students thrive.
