NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Education of Heyworth Community Unit
School District No. 4 will conduct a hearing on December 20, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. in Room 310 of
the District Office, 308 West Cleveland Street, Heyworth, Illinois. The purpose of the hearing
will be to hear testimony from staff, parents and students concerning a waiver request to be filed
with the Illinois State Board of Education, pursuant to 105 ILCS 5/2-3.25g. The waiver, if
approved, would allow the District to utilize up to five (5) all-day School Improvement Planning
(SIP) days with no student attendance for purposes of daily student attendance calculation rather
than ten (10) SIP days with at least three (3) hours of student attendance, as provided in 105
ILCS 5/10-19.05.
Any interested person is invited to appear at the hearing and give testimony or ask questions
